Have a question about this trip? Ask Himanshu

You’ll be talking to Himanshu, the founder — not a call centre.

The Darshan Express is our shortest Adi Kailash route: reach Dharchula on your own (we’ll help you plan that leg), and in four days our team takes you up the Vyas Valley for both darshans and back.

Read this before choosing the short route. Four days means only one night at Gunji before the high days — there is no full acclimatisation day. This itinerary suits travellers who are fit, young-ish or altitude-experienced, and short on leave. If you have any doubt — age, blood pressure, breathing, or a past bad night at altitude — take our 7-day route with the dedicated acclimatisation day instead. We screen every Express booking honestly on WhatsApp before confirming, and our escorts carry pulse oximeters and check everyone at Gunji.

The Inner Line Permit is included and filed by our team. We are a private tour operator based in Pithoragarh, run by Uttarakhand locals — the Vyas Valley is home ground.

Frequently asked questions

Who should NOT take the 4-day Express?

Anyone above 60, anyone with heart, blood-pressure, or breathing conditions, and anyone who has had a bad night at altitude before. The Express has no full acclimatisation day — our 7-day routes exist precisely for those travellers, and we will honestly steer you there during screening.

How do I reach Dharchula?

Overnight train to Kathgodam or Tanakpur, then a shared or private taxi to Dharchula (6–8 hours). We help you plan and book this leg on WhatsApp — many groups arrive the previous evening.

Is the Inner Line Permit still included on the short route?

Yes — same as every route: fees and the full application are included; you send documents on WhatsApp at least 2–3 weeks before travel.

What altitude safety measures are on this trip?

The escort carries a first-aid kit and pulse oximeter, checks everyone at Gunji, and has full authority to turn the vehicle around if anyone shows AMS signs. On a 4-day route we are extra conservative — that is the deal.
