The Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra takes you into the Vyas Valley of Pithoragarh district — one of the most sacred and least-crowded Himalayan circuits in India. Adi Kailash, also called Chhota Kailash, mirrors the form of Mount Kailash, and Om Parvat carries a naturally formed ॐ in snow on its face.
This 7-day itinerary is built around safety at altitude: a full acclimatisation day at Gunji (3,200 m) before the darshan days at Jolingkong (4,572 m) and Nabhidhang (4,340 m). The region falls inside the Inner Line, so every yatri needs an Inner Line Permit — our team handles the paperwork and tells you exactly which documents to carry.

Meet the team at Pithoragarh and drive along the Kali river to Dharchula, the border town that is the gateway to the Vyas Valley. Evening briefing, document check for the Inner Line Permit, and overnight stay.2Dharchula → Gunji3,200 m

Permits & preparation
This yatra requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP). Keep your Aadhaar card, passport-size photos, and basic medical fitness details ready — our team handles the entire process. A basic level of fitness is required for the altitude.

How difficult is this Adi Kailash Yatra?
It is vehicle-based — the longest walks are short strolls at the darshan sites — but the route spends two days above 4,300 m. With our dedicated acclimatisation day at Gunji, most healthy travellers between 12 and 70 complete it comfortably.
Why does your itinerary have 7 days when others sell 5?
The extra days buy a full acclimatisation day at Gunji (3,200 m) before the high darshan days. Cheaper itineraries cut it; headaches, AMS, and turn-backs are the usual price. We will not run the route without it.
Is the Inner Line Permit included?
Yes — permit fees and the entire application are included. You send us your Aadhaar, photos, and a medical fitness certificate on WhatsApp at least 2–3 weeks before departure, and our team files everything with the Pithoragarh administration.
How do I reach Pithoragarh for the start?
Overnight trains reach Kathgodam or Tanakpur, with shared and private taxis onward to Pithoragarh; Naini Saini airport at Pithoragarh has limited flights. Tell us where you are coming from and we will plan this leg with you — or take our Kathgodam or Delhi variant instead.
What are the stay and food arrangements?
Clean guesthouses and homestays on sharing basis at Dharchula and Gunji, with fresh vegetarian meals — breakfast and dinner daily and packed lunches on darshan days. This is a remote border valley: expect simple, warm, and honest rather than hotel-style.
Is mobile network available on the route?
Reliable up to Dharchula, patchy to absent beyond Tawaghat. Treat the darshan days as offline and tell your family in advance — we share the escort's contact plan before departure.
